T O P I C R E V I E Wshop22much.SunChildYou should never drink liquids during a meal. Little sips are ok, but never drink more than half a glass because it dilutes digestive acids which will prolong the digestion process. This can be the cause of many discomforts and problems. If you want to lose weight serve yourself smaller portions, eat and chew very slowly, take an extra 10 minutes to eat than usual, and include plenty of fibre in your meals. taurean_scorpionSunChild's right...taurean_scorpionSunChild's right...parasCool info, SunChild! Makes sense... my only question is, how long after eating should one wait to drink liquids?Hi again, taurean_scorpion! Fancy meeting you here! SunChildHey Paras,If you eat something like just raw fruit and veg you only need to wait 30-40 mins. For oils nuts and seeds it's about 60-90mints. And around 2-4 hours with some types of cooked food. You'll know when your stomach is empty again. Also if you eat foods with a high water content like most fruits and veggies in their natural state you wont really need to drink much liquids. parasThanks, SunChild! RandallDrink the water by itself, and it should be ice cold. The body can't use the water until it is warmed, so it burns calories doing so. ------------------"There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." I usually have one or two full glasses of milk with dinner and I've never experienced any problems.loeI think one should drink with moderation when eating. For me it s natural to drink during my meal and my body is asking for it. Why make things complicated, when you re thirsty drink, if not don t. But I agree that hoovering in litres of water while eating can t be good.
